Finally!

I finally got to my walking/step goal!  Great some days, bad on others.  I need to pick it up a notch and get better at getting my steps in.  I am still averaging over 8000 steps per day for 2009.  So there are days when I am at like 14000 steps and days when I am at 6000 steps.  I would like to get my average up.   I will wait a little, but ultimately going to set myself up for a new walking/step goal.    Lost 1 lb this past week.  I am now down to 152 lbs from 166 lbs, my all time high ever on 11/16/08.  I got down to 151 lbs on 6/13/09 as my lowest since I started.  My lowest in the last 7 years is 149 lbs.  So my goal this week is to get BELOW 151 lbs, and over the next 2 weeks, to get BELOW 149 lbs.  Then at least, I can truly say I am unstuck.  69 days to PSU!  WHOO HOO!  I got my tickets in the mail yesterday!  YES!    I bet I get in like 20000 steps that day!  OMG!  I am psyched too.  Got really great seats (right behind the marching band) and a parking pass too!  WHOO HOO!  I was in the marching band 84, 85, & 86 and got to go to 2 bowl games.  The student section will be behind us.  So I can guarantee we will not be sitting for the whole game!  I will be burning a zillion calories jumping up and down!!!  Can you tell I am a HUGE Penn State football fan?!  Go Nittany Lions!  I cannot wait for football season to start.  And the campus is just BEAUTIFUL in the Fall.  Now, with all of the zillion calories I am going to burn that day, I am going to treat myself to Penn State Creamery ice cream, chocolate!  YUM!  Best ice cream you ever had.  They got the cows in the pasture on the other side of the stadium.  Ice cream doesn't get much fresher!  Homemade ever day!  If I lose my 30 lbs to get to 136 by PSU, I am definitely going to hook myself up with some new sweatshirts and t shirts!  That is 16 more lbs in 10 weeks.  I am really going to try this time. I sliced up some fruit for myself and peeled some carrots, so I am set.  I will most likely be spending a lot of time on the road over the next couple of weeks which will be a challenge for me.  I will have to pack snacks and lunches and bottled water.  This also means extra preparation.  If I don't do this, it is too easy to pop into the McDonalds drive through.   I didn't get any Spanish Coach lessons in this week.  Maybe I will do one this evening.  I only got to the YMCA once this past week, but got lots of walks in with the dog.  Very severe storms over the last few days and my basement (one side) was flooded on Friday night (while Paul and David were away.)  Took me over 2 hrs with the wet dry vac to suck up all the water and then up and down the steps to dump the buckets.  Found out in the worst of the storms with wind driven rain, that the rain is actually coming in through the bilco doors!  Paul is going to have to seal that up somehow.  What a mess!  Severe storms again this AM with tornado warnings.  We got 3 inches of rain in 45 minutes on Friday night!  The only time I EVER saw rain like that and wind was during Hurricane Floyd a number of years ago.   I did sneak a donut this AM.    But then had a boca burger with a deli thin multi grain roll and some carrot sticks.  I had watermelon for a snack.  I am eating baked chicken, rice and string beans for dinner.  Yum!  I also need to take Kona out for our walk.  We are walking about 40-45 minutes, most nights.  The nights I don't get in our walks, are the days I don't hit my 10,000 steps.  Well, that is it for my novel.   10/10/09-  Have to stay focused!

Sounds like great seats for the PSU game! Good idea to plan ahead for all that road time at work! The extra time it takes to pack healthy food will get your scale number below 149#!
