Filling in My Blanks

Well, I just got done backing up all my journal entries to Penzu, so if something ever happens to the DS entries, I can always go there.
Some updates: my chipped tooth needs a permanent crown. Right now, it has a temporary one & it's been kind of achy. Not sure why, but I see the dentist again on Saturday, so he can fix whatever is wrong.
My body has also been feeling kind of achy, though the past 2 days it's feeling a little better. So I haven't really been exercising or doing much, because my body is just not up to it.
Got a nice card & flowers from DH for anniversary. In the card was a little note, apologizing for coming up short, hurting my feelings sometimes & then asked forgiveness. I gave him a kiss & decided in my heart to just let things lie; I won't be bitter, but I also won't have high expectations.
And speaking of bitterness, I was feeling a bit that way & maybe a little jealous too. Saw a FB post between Mean Sister & Other Sister. MS was thanking OS for "the package" she got (OS was just in Hawaii). I didn't get any package. Not that our relationship is about stuff, but the point is, I was hurt that OS only seemed to think of MS & that I seem to be invisible! I don't think OS did it with intents to hurt me, but it did. I guess I don't matter to her? So I'm trying to come to terms with that. I don't begrudge them having a good relationship, but I miss the connection I used to have with OS.
And regarding Mean Sister, I really need to stop ruminating so much about what she does/says/etc. I think it stems from everything coming to a head last Christmas. But I've got to move past this. I need to just put it in it's place & not allow it to take over my life.
Oh, my mom had moved again about a month ago. Seems to be a much better place & a much better fit to her lifestyle, though I'm not crazy about it being 3 floors (she is 70 now, after all). But she's happier.
Kids are pretty status quo. It's turning out that my daughter's troop leader has NOT retired, but is cutting back some of her more strenous activities. She's hoping someone else will step in & lead the troop; but the thing is, she's been there so long, I don't think anyone will lead with her being the co-leader--her personality is way to strong for that.
Work has been pretty quiet. Hopefully there won't be any end-of-the-year madness this year!
Genealogy is coming along slowly right now. I've gotten much of my "low hanging fruit" & am finishing inputing what I have into my database. I guess I'm into a "learning more" phase right now. Next month is the genealogy conference in NYC--the 1st of its kind there! Very excited about that.
