Fibromyalgia and Grieving

I am really dealing with the pain of fibromyalgia right now.  I have been grieving the loss of my father and brother and shortly after their deaths, I had the worst fibro flare up in my life.  I realize this was probably brought on by the new stress I had been dealing with, especially after my brother died shortly after my father.  I never really addressed the fibro problem, even though I have lived with pain for years.  It was just a part of life for me, to be in pain in some way or another all the time. This time, all the pains have been put together and my doctor told me that I had fibromyalgia a few weeks ago.  This is something I had suspected, but as I said, I just lived with it. I'm trying some medications right now and not sure if they are helping much.  Nothing really takes the pain away, but I'm hopeful they will help.  Right now I'm even finding it difficult to grieve because all I can think about is the pain.   Anyway, first time I've updated my journal since joining the DS support groups back in August.  I do get help and inspiration from both the bereavement and fibromyalgia groups and try to include my input when I think I can help. Here's to wishing and praying for happier and less painful days.
