Fibromyalgia

I went to see a rheumatologist for the first time and I was told I do have fibormyalgia. I have been in pain for 17 years and have seen several doctors and I finally found out what is wrong. I found out I also have some others things going on as well. Not sure if this is good news or not but it's nice to know that all the doctors who kept telling me it was all in my head didn't know what they were talking about. The bad news is there is no cure for it and that's hard to deal with.
I had always hoped I would find out what was wrong and they could fix it. I just want to live a normal life and be pain free. I do get injections in my neck and the base of my scull which offers some relief for a short period of time but it is a very short period. I have daily headaches that even the injections don't help much.
I was wondering if anyone else suffers from this and how they deal with the pain on a daily bases? I was started on a medication but I have such a hard time with horrible side effects so I am not able to take things that will help with the pain. I only took half of a pill last night. I didn't feel very well this morning when I first got up but am feeling a little better now. I get so nausous and dizzy from most of the medications.
