Fibro at 15????
My trip to the rheumy with my daughter yesterday was an exercise in frustration if nothing else.
They removed the tram so that you now have to walk all the way from the parking deck beside the clinic part of the hospital...all the way to the main hospital. And they are doing construction inside the main hospital so when you try to follow the signs to the children's part of the hospital, you wind up at dead end after dead end.
SO..I wound up having to walk around the ENTIRE hospital campus just to get to the children's section for my daughter's appointment. :(
Not to mention it seemed to take forever for the doctors and staff to get their shit together which of course wound up spending ME more in parking fees for THEIR parking deck. Ridiculous anyways that they would charge $1 an hour (or any part of an hour) considering where they are located and what the economy is like especially in that area and where most folks are coming from and what their economic situation is.
After much drag assing, I get told my daughter may have bursitis or something going on with her hip joints and lower back, and that they are thinking maybe FIBROMYALGIA.....Whut??? I HAVE fibro...I know all too well about fibro...I just can't see it really...maybe I am wrong...but they also threw out there anklylosing spondolytis which I also have (I also have bursitis in my hips but that is because of two previous back surgeries that started a new wear pattern on my hip joints and my hip joints have never really accustomed themselves to it.
But I was just floored..FIBRO? At 15? Since when did they start diagnosing teens/kids with Fibro?
At least if it IS Fibro I can kinda help her figure out ways to cope. I just hope that with her following so seemingly close to my conditions, I just pray she don't get this HS. As bad as Fibro and all the others listed are...I would take them ALL on at the same time every day all day long, just to make sure she didn't come down with HS.
