Fentanyl patch
I saw my doctor last week and suggested that he write me a scrip so I could try it. Since I told him the truth, that I had been daydreaming about death, I guess he was willing to write me a scrip for a narcotic.
I put the first one on late Sunday and when I woke up I was itching all over, and I could see that the patch didn't agree with my sensitive skin. But no migraine! No migraine! Awesome. I'll take some side effects, fair trade.
Three days without a migraine. It's almost like something is missing, like my evil child left home and it's suddenly quiet and calm. The itching has subsided too.
My plan was that when the patch came off I would go without for a day or two, to help prevent addiction and just plain to see what happened. Today I took the first patch off and several hours later I had a nasty head-splitting migraine. An imitrex and then an hour later a new patch.
I've found a new way of life and I'm going to go down this road and see where it goes. It can't be worse than where I've been.

How much do they cost????? Awesome daniflorida. I read this to my happy daughter. She had a doooozy this morning. Not sure if the children\'s headache doctor will give her that. Her granny uses that patch... for chronic pain. My daughter keeps saying...\"That\'s so awesome.\" \"I\'m happy for him and his relief.\" So.... We have hope. I am hoping she won\'t need the patch. That this is a phase.. hormones.. Something in the air.. or food.. that we\'re NO LONGER eating.
Continued blessings my brother!
We got new insurance on April 1st and didn\'t have the cards yet. The pharmacy told me I could pay for it, then when I got the insurance card bring it in with the receipt, they would run it thru and refund everything except my copay. The Rx cost a whopping $265 for a month\'s supply. I expected when I came back with the insurance card that my copay would be something like $60, but it ended up that I was refunded everything except $10. I would pay $265/month for relief, considering how migraines have pretty much ruined every day of ever week of every month the last several years.
