felt up???

my shoulder isn't really getting better so i went to see an orthopedic surgeon wednesday morning....i waited 30 minutes for him to see me....he was obviously having a late day because i was about the lose it, when he finally came in....he asked me a bunch of questions and as he's asking these questions i have this bad feeling...like i was really anxious and stuff....he told me to sit on the table so he could examine me....i thought that i was just nervous because he's a new doctor and everything....when i was at urgencare and when i saw my primary care doctor they had me take my shirt off so that they could test my shoulder and stuff....no big deal, i had my bra on....but this doctor.....i dunno, i felt vulnerable....he didn't ask me to take my shirt off so i left it on....he walked in front of me and pressed on my collarbone with is thumbs....immediate pain...SEVERE pain.....i said that it hurt and he said okay....then he said,"i need to look at your left shoulder, so i need to pull your shirt over.." before i could say no, he pulled it apart and, like, felt my bra strap and then ran his hand over my shoulder....i didn't do anything and he said,"doesn't seem to be anything wrong" then did the same thing to my right shoulder, which has very little, if any, pain....it just felt weird....i know i was uncomfortable, but i don't know why.....it just seemed....weird and awkward and i felt very vulnerable....i don't know if he tried to feel me up or something?? i dunno....therapy will be great on tuesday.....i'll be able to talk about it

It would have been more appropriate for sure if he had of asked before moving your shirt, but maybe his bedside manner isn\'t the greatest or given that he was behind schedule he just moved it along in that sense, but from what you said it doesn\'t sound like he touched you where he shouldn\'t have or felt you up in that sense.

And maybe b/c you were already worked up and anxious it all seemed that much more invasive at the time? I know given my past abuse I can get over-sensitive and triggered like that especially around men and stressful/anxious ridden situations. I\'m not trying to downplay what happened, but maybe that played into how you felt about it.
