Fell off the face of the earth!
Work is still crazy. I am tired, mostly mentally. Just totally fell of the wagon! Pedometer battery died and 2 days to get a new one. I got to the point where I said to myself: Why bother? Diet WAY off track. haven't weiged myself. Too scared. David is doing ok. Still not allowed to ride bike (now for another month!) Now we have another health concern! They had to do an EKG to start him on Straterra (since he has been off Adderall and Clonidine now over 1 month.) EKG came back abnormal! The kid is 12! So now Paul and I both really feel awful after giving him the Clonidine for the last 3 years. So now he can't start the Straterra. And, now 2 weeks after the start of school and we are finding out that David has not handed in ANY homework and not even getting work done in school. Ugh! Here we go again! Let the battles begin! So now, NO TV, NO video games, etc on a school night. PERIOD! So I feel shut down. No break at work. Still getting 3-4 fires a week and struggling. So now, the game plan is to survive the next two weeks. Then on 10/2, I go to my Dad's in Florida for a week, by myself. Hopefully can unwind and get my head back together. Then I come back and go to the Penn State game. So i am just going to struggle through the next couple of weeks. Sorry to my friends for losing touch. Will try to get on here tomorrow and spend some time catching up with everyone! Love you guys! And YOU ALL know who you are! PS: Going to spend this weekend cleaning and reading Dan Brown's new novel, "The Lost Symbol." I am up to chapter 22 so far.

I am excited to read the new Dan Brown novel too. I haven\'t found it yet in any nearby book store, so will have to travel to the city.
Life sounds hectic there for you. I don\'t think you can blame yourselves at all for the medication and the EKG. I mean, we know he needed it, and you didn\'t pull it out of a hat - doctors were involved and advice was given. Just move forward from here, and get some second or third opinions if you feel that\'s necessary. You may be all doctored out though, understandably.
I hope your work calms down over the winter. Does it?
School always was a battleground for David, so of course here you go again. Stay strong and consistent. I\'m sure consistency is important with him. Never forget you are a great mom who goes above and beyond for her family!
My work gets very bad in the Winter. Come the end of November and all through December and into January (we call this \"fire season\"), I will pretty much get a fire a day. I think that is why I feel so much pressure to get caught up now, knowing this is coming.
Hopefully an abnormal reading for the EKG is not as seriuous as it sounds. What is the procedure to find out just what it is?
Take care of yourself....eat healthy! You worked to hard to lose ground now!
do they plan to take another ekg?... are you going to a pediatric cardiologist???? hopefully it\'s just a minor thing because of the meds and will go away..
daughter had to get ekg before tonills taken out.. there was a long QT wave.... went to cardiologist... found out it wasn\'t true....so hopefully all is well... my thoughts are with you and your family...
work seems to be the same... good thing you are getting away in oct... have fun....
