Feeling weird

Hi to all my DS peeps,

I hope you are all doing well and for those, like me, who have a heatwave outside you're all staying cool.  I'm very happy to have central air.    I did stick my head out to get the mail,  and yep it's hot.  I am still getting used to this DS format.  I wish they would have photos again.

I was on Facebook and spotted a friend who lived in my townhouse community, and we started chatting on FB chat.  she moved with her in-laws to another part of the state.  We've kept in touch, I haven't seen her since my birthday in Oct of last year.   Her father was sick and just passed away.  Her parents live in a state just south of where I live.  She said she most likely will be moving there to take care of her mom.  Her mom is 84 and is a hoarder.  She said that she wouldn't be able to stay with her because there is no room so she'd probably have to stay with her brother.  He lives not far from their mother.   She has liked living in the same state as me, I think she would be very miserable living there.   But it's her decision.   I would still miss her.   So many of the people I was friendly with have left.   I am living with a lady who is a neighbor.   I've been here for almost a year and a half.   The places I lived before there was always drama.    I am more at peace where I am now.   I tend to create the drama myself in feeling lonely, anxious and upset. Mainly with myself.

I am working at Home Depot, which I don't like.  I do like some of my co workers.   But don't always feel comfortable with some of the guys who like to hit on me.   I also don't care for the management.

Anyway I was talking to my housemate and I was telling her about our former neighbor and my housemate was saying that one thing she regrets is not having any children.  Cause she would have liked someone to take care of her when she will need it.     She said that she will probably end up in a senior facility at some point.    Her birthday is this Weds,  I am not sure exactly how old she is but she retired a few years ago.  So I think it's safe to say mid 60s.

I kind of got scared for a bit,  I don't have anyone to take care of me.  My older brother abused me emotionally and only knows me when he needs me.   He lives in FL and I haven't seen him in 2 years (he invited me to come there so I got a free trip, but nothing changed over the years.  We hadn't seen each other in 9 years.

Who will take care of me?   :(

And with the way this crazy world is, nothing is for sure.   I'm afraid of what will happen if trump is president.  I'm afraid with his big mouth he'll get us into a war.   And what about my health insurance?  Right now I have something I can afford.  I spent too much time without any insurance.   I don't want to go back to that.

So I am trying to salvage some peace back into this day but it's not easy.

I hope you are all doing well.  Thanks for listening

I'm right there with you! There's nobody to take care of me either. Our country is in such a mess. Terrorists everywhere. It's sad.

We'll make it through this heat wave! Soon it will be snow shoveling time again..
Hugs to you...
