Feeling very alone
My 55 year old husband, Mark, was diagnosed September 17, 2015 with bile duct cancer stage 4. He died November 28, 2015. We were only married for 3 years. In fact our 3rd wedding anniversary was two days before he was admitted to the hospital for tests. We went to middle school and high school together but lost touch for 30 years and reconnected 6 years ago on Facebook.
We had just started our married life together. It felt like a bomb hit our house. It came so suddenly and went so fast. It was very hard to really comprehend what was happening. We brought hospice into the house for two months and the last week he was at the hospice facility where he passed. He went in on a Saturday and died the next Saturday.
I feel so alone, even though I have support. I feel abandoned and angry. I not only lost my husband, but I lost myself. I used to be such a happy go lucky person. I don't even know who I am anymore. Grieving takes up so much of my mental strength. I work full-time and don't want to be at work anymore. Will these feelings dissipate or do they go on for a long time?
