Feeling thoughtful, sad, hopeful and full of love and admeration for my sisters
The Quitter by Robert Service
When you're lost in the Wild, and you're scared as a child, And Death looks you bang in the eye, And you're sore as a boil, it's according to Hoyle To cock your revolver and . . . die.
But the Code of a Man says: "Fight all you can," And self-dissolution is barred.
In hunger and woe, oh, it's easy to blow . . .
It's the hell-served-for-breakfast that's hard.
"You're sick of the game!" Well, now, that's a shame. You're young and you're brave and you're bright.
"You've had a raw deal!" I know -- but don't squeal, Buck up, do your damnedest, and fight.
It's the plugging away that will win you the day, So don't be a piker, old pard!
Just draw on your grit; it's so easy to quit:
It's the keeping-your-chin-up that's hard.
It's easy to cry that you're beaten -- and die;
It's easy to crawfish and crawl; But to fight and to fight when hope's out of sight --
Why, that's the best game of them all!
And though you come out of each grueling bout,
All broken and beaten and scarred, Just have one more try --
it's dead easy to die, It's the keeping-on-living that's hard.
Lets face the music and dance

My oldest sister is fighting Lymphoma, she has 8 more radiation treatments to go, she is doing very well.
My next to the oldest sister we just found out is fighting chronic myelogenous leukemia.
It is caused by the translocation and fusing of parts of chromosomes 9 and 22, resulting in the Philadelphia chromosome, it's identifier. This is an acquired mutation.
We have a very close family and we are all holding tight and circling the wagons, my sisters are strong and determined and they both have faced the music, and danced.
I admire their courage and strength, and love them more than words can say.

So sorry to hear about your sisters and life is always full of surprises. You are so right, we have to keep going. It is very hard sometimes but my belief is God has us here for a purpose and he\'s not done with us yet. When He is ready I\'m ready.
Hugs
I have sisters too and this must be so hard for all of you to be going through. Facing the music and dancing is really all I know to do myself. Thank you for sharing this, god speed healing to you and your sisters.
Lots of love and hugs to you!
Leenie
Holly: It is wonderful to hear that you are very close with your sisters. It will be of a tremendous help with what the three of you face. Blessings to you and your sisters; I pray for healing and comfort. Love you.
Thank you so very much for your comments, you help me more than you can begin to know.
I am touched deeply your words and kindness.
I am truly blessed to have such loving sisters and brothers.
Actually there are 7 of us, 5 sisters and 2 brothers, I am in the middle, with three sisters older and one sister and two brothers younger.
The oldest sisters are the rocks of the family, and they tell me I am the glue that holds us together, that is what our father always said:)
My loving thanks to each of you,
Love Always Holly
I should also mention that it was the poem above that helped my sister with Lymphoma when the Chemo infiltrated out of her vain, and the antidote made her platelet count and her immune system crash, which put her in the hospital and almost killed her.
Her hands and feet although they were packed in ice during the treatments, burned badly, and she lost feeling in the tips of her fingers, and then she lost the skin on her hands and feet, it was a very hard time but she faced the music and danced gracefully through it all.
Holly, my heart goes out to you and the family. But I must say that the love of a strong family has produced may things that astounds. To me it is the strength that love that is the miracle.
My very best to you and your sisters. Let them fight the good battle and win.
Anna
Thanks everyone!
Both of my sisters are doing very well and are in remission at this point and enjoying their lives.
They always lead by example and I am so blessed and proud to have them in my life.
They are amazing, like all of you...
Love Holly
