Feeling so lost

My living arrangements have been up in the air since my landlord passed away in 2010. I rent and have lived here for over 12 years. My landlord wife kept telling me she is doing everything she can to keep the place and when we got a notice in November for a forclosure she said she had taken care of it. Well, come to find out she did not take care of it and it goes up for auction this morning.
I am so upset because I know I will have to move and the new people only have to give us 30 days to be out and that is if they want to be nice about it. They really only have to give us 15 days to be out once they buy it. There is no way I can trap my feral cat family, find a place to live that takes section 8 and let me keep my own kitty in 30 days. The hardest part is I will have to put all 4 of my outside kitties to sleep because I have not found anyone to take them. I can't leave them here to starve to death or be killed by someone. It is breaking my heart that I have to be the one who ends their lives. No matter what happens it will not be a good out come for my feral kitties.
All my memories of Abby are here and I like where I am living and to me it's my home. My memorial garden is here for her and my other kitties I lost. I just found all this out yesterday afternoon and I have just made myself so sick over this.
There were 3 guys that came by looking at the place yesterday and they thought the place was empty and they were not very nice to us. The one guy goes around buying, fixes them up and resales them. Also everyone thought this was a house not a duplex because it's not listed as a duplex. It's actually a house that was turned into a duplex.
I have been trying for months to find someone to take my feral kitties but I was not having any luck. It will take me months to trap them. They know what a trap is and they will not go into one anymore. I just don't know what to do and I can't stop crying. I don't want to lose my home and my cats. The thought of being the one to has end their lives is making me sick to my stomach. Mama kitty turns 6 years old this month and her daughters turn 5 in May.

Please send prayers our way, we sure could use them right now.

I am so sorry you\'re going through such an awful time. I\'m sure you already thought of this, but can you call the local rescue to see if they can take the feral cats?
Sending my thoughts to you and your little adopted family. Praying you can find a solution that won\'t be too difficult of a change.
You\'ve helped so many of us here. I wish you well. xoxo

if you can, CAGE in a large dog cage your feral kitties.

look at mobile homes, in addition to ordinary homes, until you are on your feet. some of those are super nice and have a pool and club house and the cost is about $300 per month for lot rent. i wish you were in florida, i could really help you and direct you here.

do not put the animals down. start calling on ads for kittens in the newspaper and go to the pound and request a print out (if they do that) of rescue places in the area. also dog training schools with land, often have cats as well, but mobile parks are generally an easier solution.

last year richard moved because a neighbor harrassed him, it seemed like he was out in a week with the animals to a new spot, and then himself and personal things like paperwork and photographs and a car\'s worth of \"other\". i think he left a lot of the furniture and had a church come and get it or amvets.

there are cheap houses for purchase, go to zillow.com 3 percent down and two years of employment in anything.

though i read the section 8 thing, is that for disability. there are places that are for disabled people, but they restrict the number of animals. also look at nursing homes and assisted livings that accept pets, they may help you as well.

look at it as a \"vacation\" if you can. let me see if i can find anything on craigslist as well, there are allll kinds of deals generally. washington state. also for quick cash, many people return to college on any level, 4 classes in college you can take them one night per week, one class each night, a federal grant covers the tuition and they use a student loan to either buy a car or down payment on a house or buy a used mobile home. \"everyone\" does this. the student loans ARE FOR housing and transportation, they aren\'t there to make rich people who own houses and like having tenants, even richer.

you can also get a piece of land, owner finance or merely permission of the owner or near a storage place sometimes, if you were managing a storage place and living there, the animals could live with you and come out at night.

you can also put your things in storage and then find a room with bath for YOU that is animal friendly and in a normal suburban area and then a safe place to feed the outdoor ones, or the place may say okay until you get on your feet.

there is generally a lot of that kind of housing near universities and colleges and near tourist areas where there are hotels....tourist areas, or just bordering on tourist areas are generally pretty nice areas to live in and not overly pricey.

It is nice with what 38lbs has come up with. Great advice. I have my kitties and I am going to have t find homes for them. I couldn\'t put them down if I had to. But sweetie there has to be something out there for you. You have given so many animals love, and I just hope that something good comes your way. You so deserve it. Just know that you are the best. I had to leave my Whitey Joe in southern Illinois and then Nibby in MS. I took their love with me and that is the only way I handle it. Their spirit and their love goes with me. Maybe whoever buys the house would let you stay. Just know that I am thinking of you.

Thanks for everyone\'s advice. It is really hard to find Section 8 housing around here. I am only allowed a 2 bedroom for 3 people and rent can only be I think $850 a month. I get SSI and my one son gets SSD, that is all we live on. It has to pass housing inspection before I can even be allowed to move into the place. I have actually been looking on and off since 2011 for a place to live. My biggest problem was nobody takes pets or they take small pets and back when I was looking I could not find any place that would allow Abby to live with me. She is gone now but still not easy. I\'m still having problems with my price range and that will let me keep Peaches.

I have been e-mailing rescue groups and nobody can help me. I even e-mailed a Cat Sanctuary but they never responded back at all. I wrote them 3 times and sent pictures hoping if they saw pictures of the feral kitties then maybe they would help. I really have been trying to find a place to take them for a few years now. I suffer from anxiety and the thought of trying to trap them when I know they won\'t even go near a trap just puts me in a panic attack. I was living in this dream that maybe who ever bought it would let me stay but if that is not the case I would have to be out in 15 to 30 days.

The only good thing that happened yesterday was the place did not sell so I have 2 weeks before it goes up for auction again. This place is not in the best of condition and needs lots of work and the starting bid was way to high.

In all reality I know I will not be able to take my feral cats with me. I found one apartment in my price range but I have to pay a $700.00 pet deposit and then $100 a month just to have Peaches. Crazy huh? It\'s hard to find places when I have so many restrictions by being on section 8 and owning pets.

Anyway thanks again for all your prayers, must have worked because like I said it did not sell this time around.
