Feeling Old & Pissed Off - 02-25.13
I am feeling old today - and after seeing my physician totally pissed off!
On top of the arthritis meds, migraine meds, fibro meds - now I have to take Fosomax for osteoprosis!
Granted, I need the osteo. med after I saw the results of the various tests, but for some reason I can't get over feeling absolutely pissed off! It's stupid, I know, but there it is.
On the good side he is calling in a script for an anesthetic patch I can use where the fibro has serious flares in my lower back (they seem to be the worst right now) to calm down the pain. That's a good thing.
I just don't want to admit I'm old enough for the osteo. med. Blast!
I'm missing the '60's and that wonderful feeling of immortality, joy and peace I had.
Oh, well, I guess none of this really matters since it's going to take place no matter how I feel. Better to accept than fight it - but that doesn't count for today. Today I'm going to let myself feel very sad.

I am sorry, I know how you feel. I have a girlfriend I still stay in contact with since we were 10 years old and our favorite saying is WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED HOW WE GET SO OLD!!!
I felt the oldest when both my parents passed away because I knew I was the oldest then. I have a couple older sisters with no health problems, they go all the time, they hike they do this and that, it makes me feel like a failure.
We arent failures we just have different health issues and we got the bad cards when they dealt them out.
Thats good you got a patch, I was thinking about buying the ones over the counter when my DDD acts up and of course we know fibro magnifies our pain.
I have had a couple low bone scans, so I try to remember to take my calcium with vit D everyday. Then I read where too much calcium in women can cause heart disease. I know I am not taking to much, but another case if damned if we do and damned if we dont.
Just try to stay positive and look for the good in everyday.
I am hear if you need to sound off, because I understand.
