Feeling okey today
Feeling a little better this week although there are still those times when my thoughts of my son bring out the tears and heart break. Had another group session on Thursday and it went well it is really surprised and helpful to know other people feel a lot the same way as we do under the same conditions. It has been almost five months now and at times it still seems like it is a dream, I do miss him so much and am still so angry with him for doing what he did. I know he was ver6y sick and had demons in his thoughts but it is still hard to believe that he would cause so much saddness within his family and two is wife and two children. I just hope the time will come when I can forgive him and not be angry at him.

I think when you read and learn more about mental illness and when people have it and we don\'t even know what they will do to relieve their pain and suffering, you will be able to forgive your son. At first, with no warning, when it happens we are thrown into so many different emotions: shock, hurt, anger, etc. but with knowledge, we learn that this act was not meant to hurt us or others but to give our loved one peace. It\'s been 8 years for me and I still get all those feelings but I understand them much better now. All I can say is there is hope for some sort of peace in your life. Sincerely, BarbaraWawa
Hi Old Ruggy....I know your pain and am here for you. I agree with Barbara...it is a mental illness that we know so little about. Your son did not do this to hurt you so much as he did this to relieve his pain...something you probably knew very little about especially if he did not share his emotions. Please take care of yourself. God will give you the peace that passes all understanding one of these days but you are still in the earliest stages of this horror. I believe we have to go through this storm to be able to heal in His grace. God bless you always, ...dale....brandon\'s mom
Praying for peace for you today. Kathie, Robin\'s Mom
