Feeling Kind of Under the Weather-sad
I've been feeling kind of sad because I think I am being harrassed. It's one of those things in dealing with people who have not taken the time to get to know me, and yet sometimes I think they have judged me in some way. Can't quite put my finger on it. Basically, being with these people makes me very undercomfortable because I don't trust them. Church people. I keep trying to find a church home. I have been away from this group activity in the church where I used to go regularly, for quite a while. I had extreme health issues, pain, tiredness from the meds I am taking for diabetes, plus I was taking care of someone else in my family who is extremely ill and has a very bad temprament with behavioral issues caused by extreme chronic pain. I tried to explain the group my health issue (very briefly). I don't think that they paid attention whatsoever. They are just not extremely friendly sometimes in ways that are as though they are "gaslighting" me for reasons unknown to me. I hang out with them because my creative skills are used to give back to the community. On my own I don't have a way to give in such a way that reaches people all over the map.
And today I attended a new church that reminds me a bit of the church I belonged to before I ever moved to this place. It's small, very friendly, and pretty active. Again, trying to trust people as I feel my spiritual batteries are best re-charged by being with other Christians. Only thing is, I can't seem to find a group that is not judgemental.
I had joined a small group once. A next door neighbor invited me. I was going through that hard time of adjusting to my diabetic medicine, feeling tired in the extreme, and caring for the family member who is difficult to care for because they were acting extremely verbally abusive to me.
Maybe I keep running into the wrong Christian groups. But I will do my best to give this new church a chance. I could never give up on God. It's not His fault his people are sometimes so unkind or indifferent to newcomers.
