Feeling Frustrated & Confused
To the few who read my journals...does anyone have times where you just simply really wonder abt family in general. Times where they leave you feeling like you either want to shake your head in a sort of I give up attitude, or maybe bang your head against the wall in frustration or just simply scream at all of them. I'm going thru that right now & it's so FRUSTRATING...... My youngest sister split with her sort of other half abt a month ago, I just found out yesterday. They'd been living together for abt 13 yrs. He was a useless alcoholic who's sole purpose in life was to drag my sister down with him but she worshipped the ground he drank on. Thank our Lord at least she didn't drink, she had to support him hence she never had anything. You'd think that sisters would lean on each other, share, etc. etc. but alas she's been relying on her caretaker & caretakers hubby who's she sort of friends with. Not sure how I felt when she said that they've been her rock this last while, hmmm. Not sure how I felt either when she made reference to our dad keeping her in wine off & on to help her thru it. OK, am I so wrong in thinking that a somewhat normal family would immediately rally together. Have I been watching too many movies in thinking that a dad shd call the others & say lets rally together to help youngest sister. Am I so wrong in thinking that rather then wine a better thing to do would be encouragement to pick herself up, etc. etc., maybe help look up counselling, etc. etc. I don't know, I just don't know. My other sister & I have told her we're there for her, call us whatever but somehow I don't think she will. I've a gut feeling she'll stay at arms length. I guess too what doesn't help is having a non-confrontational dad, better to sweep it under the carpet & pretend all is sort of OK. OK enough is enough of this whining. I got a call fr my rheumy's office today & they've got a cancellation this coming Thurs so they're scheduling me in so I can get the results of my MRI on my hip. I've already pretty much decided that if there's something that can be done to fix whatever it is be it surgery, therapy, whatever then I want to go ahead. To me it would be one less pain area to put up with. I've got no choice to live with my lower back/pelvic area so if I can solve the hip then bonus. Can't remember if I journaled that the CT scan on my lower back/pelvic area showed that I've got a disc & vertebrae thats bulging away fr the spinal cord. There's no way I'm having surgery to fuse that area, not risking that, no way. Anywho I guess that shd do it for now, but suffice to say, I will fight the fight, I will stay strong & charge ahead. I will follow the Lord as my leader & persevere on to win. Love ya all.
