Feeling Better and a Positive Idea
Feeling a little better today as long as I don't let myself think much. Dealing with side-effects from the Valtrex (headache and no appetite) and an allergic reaction from the adhesive (itchy, itchy, itchy) the podiatrist used but otherwise surviving. Going to have a low-key day and probably read a book. I made it to 230 days SI free! There was a time I never thought I'd make it to 30 days let alone 230. I got some really cute postcards at the post office yesterday. They have the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Mascots on them. I've been wanting to get some of the plushies of the mascots but at $10+ each (depending on the size and store) I can't afford them so when I saw the postcards I knew I had to get them. I want to put them in a frame on my wall...they're so freakin cute. It was still more then I wanted to spend but I've been wanting something with the mascots for over 1 year now so for around $6 for the 3 postcards I'm happy...and if I ever decide I want to mail them the postage is already included...lol. Actually speaking of mailing postcards...I just had a neat thought. Something that kind of extends off the www.operationbeautiful.com idea. Take postcards and write positive messages on them and mail them to yourself and/or friends and/or strangers...maybe even to some women's shelters and places like that. Who doesn't love getting happy mail in their mailbox! Hmmm...I may just need to start a project. I remember when I was staying in the shelters you didn't often hear positive messages from people...and I think random postcards and letters from strangers with positive messages could really bring a smile to someones day.
