Feeling anxious
HI all,
I didn't sleep well last night. I'm feeling anxious and lonely. I hate turning on the TV cause of all the bad news. Today, aside from the Dallas shootings and everything else going on, the Capitol building was on lock down cause they were looking for a person of interest.
Luckily they found who they were looking for. Don't know anything else at the moment.
I am a big Star Trek fan. So there are a lot of stuff going on. I am gong into the city tomorrow for the folklife festival and while I am there I plan to go to the Air and Space Museum to see the Starship Enterprise that just went on display (I had been to the museum two weeks ago to see The Wrath of Khan on the big imax screen but the Enterprise was not there then)
I put in for vacation on Labor Day weekend. I am original from NY and the Intrepid has a ST experience event there and the shuttle craft Galileo that was used in the original series. Also there is a ST convention going on all in Manhattan. I haven't been back to NY in over 10 years. My nephew lives there,but I haven't had much communication with him. I would like to see him and perhaps stay with him. But I don't know if that would happen. Also getting there and around the city, fills me with anxiety. So I am reticent about going. So I'm filled with anxiety.
I am hoping I might be able to take a nap later.

Hi Linda, wishing you much peacefulness, and i hope you were able to get a good night's rest :) i too, have been turning off the news, there's been lots of very sad, tragic, and devastating news, that is hard to watch. i'm so hopeful, for peace, for us all. i'm very happy you are planning a nice weekend, going to the Star Trek convention, and seeing lots of wonderful sights there :) It's amazing, the conventions : )sometimes the conventions give out some free items, which is so nice, and cool to have some collectibles :) it's awesome, that you're a big Star Trek fan :) Wishing you a great, and fun time, and i'm so thrilled also, you are looking forward to another Star Trek experience too, during Labor day weekend :) It's right around the corner, and so much more, to look forward too :)
