Feeling sad

I am feeling sort of empty tonight.  I got a new laptop - a Mac to replace the one that is on it's last legs.  I often write letters to Lisa in a document.  I tried to go in to write and found that the new computer doesn't support Word.  They were supposed to copy all the data from the old one to the new one.  We have to load the program.  So I will have to wait to write to her. 
I tell Lisa about day to day events e.g. the new computer, how I am feeling, about my dippy family etc.  I find it comforting - a way to be connected. 
I like the new computer - the screen doesn't go blank any more. 
I am going to a funeral tomorrow.  My friend's sister died.  I am feeling sad for Marie as her sister died on the same day her daughter left for France for a year.  On top of that she had to help her other sister move.  Needless to say she is overwhelmed.
On the upside, the funeral is half way to Edmonton so we will go to visit our son and DIL afterwards.
