I have had them for 10 months in my anus I never new what it was and did not think much about it till a friend told me I should get it looked at so I did. After finding out on 1/31/12 that I got warts it really scared me a lot so I was told not to have sex till the warts are gone. OK NP so what shall we do doc? he sprayed my anus with that Nitro it sting some what but was OK after the 3rd visit I'm told so sorry the treatment has not done one thing for you! Oh just great now what? He tells me I need to see a dermatologist and that he could put a needle in my ass with some kind of drug that will kill the wart? I am think what the F are you telling me that dose not sound to fun to me! So OK I check when I can see the dermatologist some time in late June ahh that is nuts! I'm so upset thinking why even both doing any of this? I tell my GP I read Studies show that 90% of individuals are able to clear HPV when exposed in 2 years I ask him is that with treatment? He says no its with doing nothing at all. So why am I going though hell having treatment when your body can clear it in 2 maybe 3 years. I am so messed up I just don't know what to do anymore.03/1/12

Wow I was looking at my notes last year January 30 2012 was when I went to a clinic to be told I got anal warts I have a STD the GP said. A full year it took to get help! I am going for anal surgery January 31 2013 this I hope will be the end of my long fight with this but I know I have this virus now in my system as long as I don\'t see the warts I will be happy and that cancer does not come about! I will know more come Febuary

just 2 more days then surgery I am praying this is not going to be so painful but I think it will be hope it won\'t last to long the nurse thinks its not as bad as I think hmm? I ask if she though it would come back she said after they are removed its low that it comes back I hope she is right.

Tomorrow I go for my surgery I am SCARED TO DEATH! I am not looking forward to this not one bit. but I have to try to get rid of it and hope for the best

YAHOOOOOOO! Its all removed and I feel GREAT the pain is no were near what I read here! but its only been one day so far so good!

Ok I might have been to excited about saying there is no pain after surgery. when having a BM its some what painful i need to eat more fiber to keep it flowing better if you know what I mean. some blood but that is to be expected too nothing to bad. I am glad I got this done finally.

I feel good no more pain having a BM some itching on and off more at night. Saw my surgeon said I was healing good but that he saw a few warts I was not in shock to hear that cause after the surgery a few days later I felt some I think he missed them. He wants to wait till May when I will be more healed up to look inside my anus see if there is some new ones. He talk about the Aldara cream But I said I will not use that as i feel there are to many side effects I said I been itchy for 21 months and now I am not after you removed most of them Do you think I want that crazy itch from that cream? NO WAY! so will see in May whats next.

well its been 8 weeks after surgery I been thinking something is growing back i feel my butt getting itchy all over again yet I don\'t feel any warts yet. I see the surgeon end of May other then that I feel good
Hey. Don\'t get too anxious about that yet. I had some crazy itching when I was healing after my surgery. Then I remembered that scar tissue itches when it heals. Hopefully when your doctor checks you, he\'ll determine that\'s what it is. :)
well I think your right after the surgery about 15 days later i was itchy like crazy! but now its been 4 months no itch at all I feel like everything is back to normal But I see my surgeon in 2 weeks so I\'ll know better if I\'m in the clear I sure hope so!

its been 4 months after surgery just saw my surgeon he looking inside my anus no new warts! biopsy low risk meaning if it comes back it will be warts. I sure hope it never comes back! every year I have to see him for a check up and a anal pap smear.

I feel great no warts have come back so far so good.
Oh wow. I just finally read your journal. It\'s so crazy how long of a journey you had to get your warts treated. In the U.S...yes you do get quicker treatment which I\'m definitely grateful for but it can be costly. I have insurance thankfully but I feel for those that don\'t have insurance. And of course the insurance companies here try to find ways to maximize profits and cut costs. I thought universal health care would be a good thing but it sounds like it\'s a nightmare getting services,not to mention finding a competent doctor. There has to be some middle ground somewhere. Wish I knew what that was.
But nonetheless I\'m so glad you\'ve finally found relief and I\'m keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn\'t return for you.

That\'s good to hear. This Saturday will be three months since my 2nd sugery. So far so good as well. Assuming if nothing is noticeable I have to go back in February for a 6 month evaluation.
Yahoooooooooo..... I saw my Proctologists he check my anus and looked inside and said you are all clear I see nothing! I can not tell you the joy I felt I all most started to cry I was so happy! this was such a nightmare finding a doctor that new how to treat this. Every year I will be check he said he is following me very carefully. I got HPV April 2011 and I am wart free as of now March13 2014. :-)
