Fed up with Doctors...

Before I get into my reason for journaling, I just want to say that I am reading all of your journals. I just haven't been commenting because, honestly, I don't know what to say at the moment. Life is just throwing shit my way and I'm having difficulties dealing with it.
Now, on to the journal...
Both my GP and RE are pissing me off lately. I am getting little to no information from either of them. I am literally left to my own devices to figure out what my test results mean.
I did the glucose tolerance test on Friday. Today one of the receptionists called me to 'pass on a short message'. That message? I have impaired glucose tolerance and the results of this test have been forwarded on to my RE.
There was no explanation, no 'he wants to discuss this with you' nothing. I was left to google impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) and figure out on my own that it means I'm pre-diabetic. Also, the literature I found says that this is associated with insulin resistance. I wanted my GP to test me for that, but nope. Not even going to see him to discuss the diagnosis of IGT let alone get any further tests done.
I seriously want to smack both Doctor's upside the head and tell them to stop messing about and damn well explain this shit to me!

UGH! Your doctors seriously suck, and you should fire them both!!!

You have yet another symptom of PCOS, and I think it\'s utter bullshit that they didn\'t make a follow up appointment for you. If I were you, I would call them and demand to be seen to discuss what this means. Don\'t take no for an answer. This is YOUR LIFE and YOUR BODY and you have the RIGHT to be treated!!!

Unacceptable. You are the patient and deserve an explanation and for your concerns to be taken seriously. Be persistent and consider consulting with another doctor. Sorry this is so frustrating. It\'s incredibly unfair.

Thanks ladies, I am going to insist on more testing and information from my RE. I am tired of being pushed aside because of my weight and naivete where these matters are concerned. I\'m going to do some research on my own time before my appointment with my RE.
