Februrary 1 2010

This is my first full week on cyclophosphimide and it seems to be going well, I am still only on half the dose. i move up to the ful dose next week. friday we went to toronto to see our daughter and did some shopping, Saturday was tough, I was exhausted and worn out. I guess I still forget that I can't do what I did before even when I'm feeling okay. I was so tired that I went to bed at 8:00 that night and slept till 9:30 on Sunday, I feel alot better today. I think the laryngitis is finally gone, I still have a bit of a cough but it seems to be going away too.Our new mattress came today so I am looking forward to trying it out tonight and seeing if it makes a difference in the achiness, my old mattress always makes my hips hurt. It was a slurge and more than I wanted to spend so hopefully it will be worth it, everyone needs an indulgence every now and then. Now I need to get my wii and the fit and I will be all set. something to exercise with and something good to sleep on, what more can you ask for.

Hello Brunob....I certainly ubnderstand the feeling of tiredness and the inablity to easily do what I once did. Just today I did just a tiny bit of snow shovelleing around the door and I felt the effects of it. Hard to NOT do the things you have always done. Hopefully your new matress will be helpful...perhaps I need one also....i have pain in my shoulders during the night (no matter which way I turn) and I find it difficult to sleep on my back.........
Good luck to you with your medications.....I have not been on that one...just Prednisone and Imuran.
best wishes..

I tried the imuran and didn\'t have any luck with it. i go back in march to the rheumy and respirologist to see if the cyclophosphimide is working. also on prednisone and a bunch of others. I am hoping they can start to lower the prednisone so maybe I can start to take off some of the weight. I guess we just have to get used to not being able to do all that we did before this took over our lives.

yes you deserve to slurge and I hope the bed works out well. I bought two down toppers for my bed and it works pretty good but you have to shake them up everydasy. lol. Even after many years I still tire so easily. I think I am doing fine then oops I am wiped. Hugs M
