I had a long day again today with going into the royal melb hosp. Started off well with jamming my right hand between scooter handle & door & lifting skin, blood everywhere. Then no appt went smooth. Couldnt get blood again from my veins so 2 attempts for that. the observing dr who does all tests etc couldnt get any reflexes from arms or legs & left foot, left eye is 20/20 right eye is 20/30 ( I think). went down to mri & eventually got in it then they had to start again as apparently as I was swallowing my head moved..weird. Then when they tried to put die in for 2nd part of scan the thing had blocked so they moved it. Then they got me out of it in a hurry at the end as the machine was smoking. It meant the machine was called a code yellow & they couldnt use it any more. They have another one on that floor & another downstairs.
Then I had to wait to see neurologist & briefly saw him. He just reviewed everything & I go to him again on 7 march which will be a proper consult not a quick check. I am exhausted & right hand is still bleeding & very sore. I ended up in there from 8.30-1.45 so didnt go to work after as had hoped to. This means that I need to go to work both Thurs & Fri which will be hard going for sure. No answers or change to medications so just keep going with pain killers. neuro did say that it will tke at least 4 weeks from flare to get back to base line. He was tryong to work out why he didnt see me in hospital & said that was when he was away so that explained that as I has wondered why I didnt see him.
Had to call in to the shops tonight on way home to get some bread for lunches & then came home, put a load of washing on & flopped in front of tv with a drink.
Another busy day for sure & didnt go as planned.
