Fear of exposure
I remember the first I was sent to sleep-a-way camp. My mom told me they were aware of my 'problem' as she put it and would make sure I was not picked on because of it. She also forbade me packing my diapers because she said the other boys would make more fun of me wearing diapers at 10 yrs. Old than they would of me wetting the bed. The couselor gave us a speech about how we were to clean and maintain our cabin and beds, then he said if any of you need a plastic sheet for the bed, come see me. He stated that nothing would be said if we came forward now, but if he discovered a wet mattress we would be publicly humiliated. I was scared, anxious, and depressed as I slowly made my way to the counselor only to find one other boy standing there. When the counselor turned around and asked us what we wanted, we both blurted out simultainously, "I need a plastic sheet!" Instant friends best two weeks of my life! And we had similar names, my name is Darryl and his name was Darren. I wonder how Darren is doing these days.

that is awesome how you went from a potentially embarrassing situation to making a good friend
Yes it was, it also proved my mom was right about me not being the only boy my age still wetting his bed. I had not met another bedwetter until then.
