Father's Day June 16, 2013
Happy Father's Day to all the father's out there that might read this!
Today is a hard day for my kids and myself. We lost their dad on Father's Day 17 years ago today. Since then, this has been one of the harder days of the year for all of us.
This year we have my husband(remarried), hubby's father, and my son to celebrate Father's Day for or with. Unfortunately, there has been some family tension and so I don't get to have the happiest of days.
Finally this afternoon, hubby, gd, and myself went to Manhattan. We ate a late lunch out at IHOP, then went shopping at Target where we got hubby a couple of things for Father's Day, and looked at the mattress place for a new mattress. We then took gd to the splash pad and watched her run through the sprinkler's etc for a good 30 minutes. It was good to see her so happy and carefree. Wish the adults could be like that! After that we headed over to get some froyo and then home for the night. It had been a good afternoon out and away from the stress and tensions.
Hubby and I both had some issues breathing due to the humidity today. Hubby has asthma and seasonal allergies while I am recovering from the PE's. We make a heck of a pair let me tell you!
Tomorrow gd starts swim lessons for the next two weeks. So you know I will be getting some exercise taking her too and from those. Trust me it is a good long walk from the parking up to the swimming pool, then around to one side or the other and then of course back to the vehicle. Then I have my doctor's appointment, and then we are going out to a dinner meeting minus gd.
Hope everyone is having a better day today then yesterday!
