Family Reunion
My Big Bro died in January, 2017 in the midst of the tri-city shuffle which accompanied the closing of my father-in-law's estate after his death less than 3 months earlier. In my psychotherapy rooms, Big Bro was a key player in my "Survivor Syndrome." That body of psychoweirds is currently under review, beginning with https://www.dailystrength.org/journals/big-brother . I'm moving in small bytes and long chews through the review. It be psychopatious territory, to be certain.
The notion that I need to *go there* is stemming from the sense that his haunting has morphed into a family reunion. YS and his wife have moved that sense to an intensity that is ? ? ? refusing to be ignored. Saluting the nag flag. . .
Efforts to find emotional support for Hubs and I havenae even made it out of the starting gate. The needs of 3 recently orphaned children have priority, but emotionally stable caregivers is a key element in their needs. Methinks it's time to shift that priority ever so bit a bit.
The good news is that we found a daycare which will salute the other grandfather's "No Immunization" banner. Approval of that daycare is currently perking through CPS. That process runs from days to weeks without crossing county lines. Prayers in progress. We see what grows.

Hope those efforts to find emotional support for you and Hubs do get out of the starting gate, arfie. Glad about the day care, that ought to help. Prayers in progress again today.
Yes, it is important to put that oxygen mask on first. Usually very hard for caretakers. Praying the daycare process gets going and runs smoothly. Hugs Arfie.
Agree with both above Arfie and that you and Hubby will find within your being a safe and soft place to land as processing creeps into your lives and hearts.
Yes, the powers that be in CPS are mind boggling, jumping through the hoops of their red tape one needs a pole volt stick. Much Conflama-Drama (confusion and drama mixed together, Ilyana Vanzant)
Thank you for the explanation on "Conflama," ML. I kinda guessed that the second "-ama" was a redundancy on the first. Did you know that the suffix, "-ama" is one of the most hotly debated etymologies in most the European languages, including the languages that have "ama" as a separate word?
Anyhoo. . .
Morning two of this week felt like a welcome replay of last week. Hubs is back at his paid gig in the office a few feet from the house where the sisters and I are biding our time on this foggy morn. We are hoping that the sisters will be able to hop the school bus with Big Bro one morning soon. Just hoping. . . Never count on a bureaucratic process until it is done. The stage is set for that evolution, if it happens. Big Sis is aching for a school of her own. Little Sis is always ready for a ride. We see what grows.
Good replies. Support continues.
:) reading your post, I went off searching for 'ama' thinking this was 'my ama', only I found that my ama is really amah....one who cares for children...being born in Singapore my Mom employed an Amah, who was later fired because she tried to take control of my Mother!

There ya go, and you are only glimpsing your strictly personal tip of the iceberg. For human babies of all cultures, "A" and "M" are typical first sounds. The potential etymology for "-ama" are quite literally global. Perhaps even universal.
I first met the Asian Indian "Amah" through Rudyard Kipling.
