Family Cycles

Eldest Son (37) is text-ranting this morning. Right on . . .?schedule? I remain convinced that when one family member cycles, we all cycle, even through the sucking black hole of family estrangement. My grieving over the uncle ES never knew has triggered cycles withing the family branch I left in the urban homestead, as well. Text-ranting is part of ES's personal cycle. His textellas get quite elaborate when the text-ranting escalates to text-tantrums. This pre-dawn morning's round has been downright concise, compassionate and mellow on the ES Scale. Hope healing happens here. YS and Hubs have both been text talking throughout this pilgrimage. Facts currently unavailable, but I believe they are both holding steady. The S.O.'s of both sons are too new to the family cycle for my mom-senses to read with any confidence, what-so-ever. Even the grandkids. At 1 and 3 years old, their personal cycles remain a mystery to me. Part of why I like them so much. Hope springs eternal.

I spent most of yesterday on the interstate. Zoom, zoom. The knots in my colon are pretty fierce this morning. Plying therapy tools. . . I believe they are just carbaric stress knots. Just. . . I expect to cross the Sabine River into the Boom State before noon. Boomin' zoom. I'll drop off the interstate shortly after I cross the Sabine. Even the web apps agree that the interstate routes are out of the way for this particular stretch. By-passing the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex is more efficient by any measure.

ETA at the urban homestead 2:30 p.m. CST(daylight savings time).

Prayers in progress. Healing hopes for all, no exceptions.

To the tune of anastasia moutstatsou's version of "ola ta diskola." ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqCDP3zXjb0 )

Had myself a good vacay, now it's time to go home
Called it up on my smart phone and set the cruise control
Put my interstate blinders on and set my sites beyond
Ignored the knots in my colon and kept my eye on the ball

Oh I don't know about all these other assholes
Don't they know my apps are best, so is my cruise control
Everything would be just fine if they all tuned in to mine
In the zoomin boom of carbaric lanes and the whining of the tires

I hate 21st century interstates. Not quite seeing the efficiency in zooming past all the good stuff. Sigh. I gots a birthday party to attend. . . Ah, the things we do for love. . .

I share your hatred of highway travel...Big Trucks put the fear of
God In Me! Lately I find So Many trucks and cars are right on my bumper. My uncle taught me when you drive to stay back one car length for each 10mph you are driving. My only defense, stopped flashing on my breaks...too damn close even for that...so now I turn on my flashers. It helps most of the time to encourage "Back Off". Hell what do they want, I'm usually cruising at 65! Next best bet is to slow down slowly and they pass me...So Here's a Truck'n son from 1973...crank it loud...love these guys!
