Fallen into the anxiety abyss.
For years I feel I have been teetering on the edge, always assuming I was suffering from anxiety. I guess to some degree I was. I am no longer teetering on the edge. I have definitely fallen straight into the abyss. I know I will find a way out, but the climb up appears that it is going to be painful and exhausting. My days have been hard to manage. Even if I'm not worrying about anything in particular, the feeling in my stomach remains that I am going down a rollercoaster. The adrenaline is there, but there is no exciting relief as there is on a rollercoaster. I have children and do my very best to hide it. We play, we laugh. But there are times that I feel disconnected from the situation. That is my least favorite part about it all. So I started therapy today, am soon seeing a dr, and it seemed like a good idea to join this online support group and occasionally journal to sort out my thoughts. I hope I overcome this sooner rather than later. And I hope you do too. Cheers.
