facebook reunion. lol. amazing so many not in touch for passed 20 years//rn has a newborn rescue

saw rn barely, to drop off food for morris.  she has a newborn rescue she was assessing - with umbilical cord and placenta attached.  its from a main road and 6th.  her friend says there are three empty houses around her and one that is part time resident, so hopefully there is a mother living at one of those houses and she can start feeding it and help it along.  amazing, how many "empty" homes there are, and we are "recovered" as a nation.  hmmmm.  don't think so.

went to tasters at target.  very hot and muggy early in the day and now its cold again.  met with the guy for the phones for k, which threw me off for the day because it was too early for me.

was on facebook of all things for a while.  amazing how many people are not in touch at all for the passed 20 years basically.  visited st's and they are saying, wow, he was a baby last time i saw him.  he is like 20 now.  its the way of the world, no one lives close by and even if they do (within 30 minutes) no one bothers - i don't think that is bad, i think it shows a stronger system that people can live on their own.  i think it was always like this to a degree anyway.  my grandmother saw her siblings/cousins once or twice per two-year period at bigger things only.  if everyone is in the same church you may see each other more at church functions.  but that is it.

even hn who had a huge crush on this girl since teen years.  was all excited as he was going to see her.  wth?  what did everyone go into a black hole for 15 years or more and then come back out.  so they are talking and going on and her "kids" are big now as well.  the only difference is the number of surgeries and/or illnesses this one and that one has and who is dead .... mostly parents and their generation and a big surprise when not, that is what happens with the over 40 age bracket.  you get jaded and you expect death.  i never expected it at all until the passed 8 years.  now i am stunned when someone's parents ARE alive and 8 years ago it made me uncomfortable to deal with any of that.

L's marks on her chin are SCARS.  (i thought she was doing drugs, which would be a surprise anyway.  she is a health freak.  hn says no way.  she hasn't changed and is still a health freak.
EVERYONE is fat.  even people who weren't fat ten years ago, are like balloons now.  lol.  even the ones that are ten years younger than me are at the very least overweight.  wth?)
the other consistency is the one kid rule.  not really a rule, but the bulk of the people i knew have one kid or no kid.  the ones with multiple kids its either a wth? and they laugh.  or i never knew them that well anyway.  different life.  like their "career" is raising kids.  what is that?
reminds me of the realization during college that most of the people i knew were either only children or one of eight or nine, (which is another version of stand alone - alone in a crowd, sink or swim, kind of thing), or only child of their particular parents and then it gets complicated because of divorce and all that.

what is super-odd is when things are the same, still relateable but still going to clubs and concerts and that is the main thing and still frequenting certain areas suburban near the city because of its proximity to clubs and concerts.  lol.  or far out philosophical thoughts and conversation, like from discover and omni, as it used to be, but now some people own bookstores and studios, and publish.  though internet has made publishing easier.
mindblower, if their kid is identical to stuff i love, had i been around, i'd be like, wow, what an influence i have.  when in truth its all genes and born as is.  cool to just go on there though and its all normal and doesn't miss a beat - all the pieces of the puzzle still in tact, but injured, or ill and obviously no longer looking or feeling 20 (amazes me if someone old says they are, its like, what are you weird?  i wouldn't even want to BE 20.  been there done that.  what is it, some people don't realllllly live their youth, so still make believe they have it when they are basically dead and living on borrowed time?  or is it total denial.  look in a mirror you are not 20.  actually, you aren't even 40, more like 50.  wow!  lol.
i think its the ones faking through that are the biggest surprise.  like they hang with career and concert people and they actually want to be watching tv and married with children as a career.  that is a mind blower.  why lie?  i actually know someone like that and EVERYONE she knows is married with children and its like, wouldn't it be easier to just hang with that for you, and nothing else.  she made a lot of trouble for a lot of people though because she needs meds and doesn't take them a lot of the time, which i hear is part of that disorder, thinking you don't need them.  that alone is a reason to run for the hills if that is around you.  i don't understand how families cope with that.

but it could be worse.  you can have a predator in your family.  or any of the G.A., N.A., A.A. people which always has kleptomania attached to it (theft).  and then there is the seriously medical things that are often terminal.
who is walking their walk and hanging on and who isn't.  who is gone because they didn't want to bother anymore or life just happens.  i had one asshole who is overly sheltered who wanted to know if i keep in touch with any of my landlords.  hmmmm.  i have lived everywhere under the sun (as much as my own health would allow, or i'd be living in the sky like kelly, seriously.  wish i was her seeing the sites of the planet on a regular basis)  i have had easily 100 landlords, including landlords abroad.  landlords are landlords.  i used to BE a landlord not that long ago.  nope.  definitely don't keep in touch with them.  wtf?  and then you remember, oh, this is a person who went from living with parents to married, to her own house, and parents again and then married and within a two- county area to where she was born.  not much of a stretch there now is it?  lol.  no landlords aren't on the christmas card list (don't even do christmas cards very much anymore).  and maligners aren't on the list at all and never should be.  thanks anyway.  wth?  the only good thing she did was testify against her parents who were involved in smuggling children after disasters out of the country of the disaster (except the kids were never seen or heard from again after that).  she and her brother testified.  it was a 20 year old case back then and one of the crooked lawyers stole and burned all the evidence because he was jealous of the prosecutors from the other county having such a big case.  he claimed was his reason.  others felt he was involved in stealing children.   that was when i decided it was time to move out of that area and that was before the movie with john candy and demi moore made a comedy about a town that is completely crooked and put people who drive through in jail and give them tickets.  also before the show raising the bar (cancelled of course by our government, lest the public know the truth).  that same lawyer didn't know that i wrote about corruption and he honestly believed i was a "romance" writer because i'm female.  people are WEIRD.  that is too weird to even address.  he maligned me on a regular basis but had never read anything i wrote at all.  wtf?

"the highest level of stupidity/ignorance is someone who rejects something that they know nothing about."  wayne dyer.
or proof that someone is a criminal, is a person who comes to your house uninvited.  only a criminal does that.  if you have an open invite the person would tell you you do.  and if the person doesn't even know you, what are you doing there.

the non-blood cousin supposedly was around here as well.  hmmm.  not friends with him and don't know him, so what is he doing here.  cm says they showed up (he and his sister) at the library and had to be escorted out, insisting they know me and making a ruckus.  hmmmm.  how would i know you?  and from what i recall, there was a restraining order against all of those people to begin with.  what a total asshole.  40 years later.  you honestly believe any of these people want to see you weirdo.  and how old are you?  15 or more years older than me at least, so why show up here?   ewwwwww.
so i'm ranting today.  had a full week of rain.  was sunny today, and now its overcast and cooler again.  did more pruning.  still having trouble with people not showing up to fill out applications, but at the same time everyone complains they are out of work.  grrrrr.  went to the sale at church, i'm looking for a wooden shoe rack, so far no luck.  target didn't have it either.

\"The happiest couples are those without children -- at least, that\'s according to research out of the United Kingdom\'s Open University.

The study titled \"Enduring Love?\" found that childless married and unmarried couples reported being more satisfied in life and feeling more valued by their partners than did pairs with kids. Unmarried parents were found to be slightly happier than married parents.\"

I think if you have more than one child, its a job and its a LOT of work and emotionally, its a LOT of worry. but that is a cultural thing too. in spain large family is respected a LOT amongst all classes.
