It\'s ok Stephanie, please keep going to your counselor. They can help you through it. Your aware that it\'s a problem, so that\'s the good thing. The only eating disorder I\'ve ever had is being a nervous eater. I will eat whatever I can find when I\'m stressed. When you were eating, what was your favorite food? Ice cream is my favorite. Try eating just a little ice cream. I also love apples with peanut butter. Think of all the foods that you used to eat that you loved. Maybe it will help. Thinking about you. Hugs, Danette
i\'ve had problems with ED too. remember even when my fav. foods made me sick to my stomach even thinking of putting them in my mouth, so i know what you mean. try not to focus on the food. do talk to your t. if you have one still, and if you don\'t, reach out to find one, it\'s crucial. keep writing about what you feel. it\'s imperative. we care about you! think of the light things that can be eatern without too much effort and remember even a bite here or there is enough to keep you going and not overwhelm you--teddy grahms, apple sauce, yogurts, ritz bitz, graham crackers by the nibble, rocky road icecream, and steamed milk with coconut flavor, tomato soup, and cereal pieces often helped me make it through days when nothing else would. also those little tiny oranges that they sell at the store (like mandarines) can be good, cuz they are mostly water anyway--as are those vitamin waters, they can be good for you. take advantage of any time something sounds ok, or even unoffensive, but odn\'t feel like you ahve to take a bunch down to be \"successful\", every little bit helps. remember if you go too long without, even that can start to make you feel sick, in addition to the other reasons, so trying to keep at least a tiny bit in your tummy will help keep that from compounding the problem.
food is not the issue or the problem, just a symptom of bigger things...so remember that as you focus on the other stuff and recognize what else is hurting, the food will take care of itself, and you will be able to take care of you.
until then, know i care about you, and i will pray for you that things ease up a little bit and you are able to take comfort a little bit.
