F.O.N.D.... Memories
It was cloudy and very cool today. After making chicken enchiladas in the crock pot and going to a graduation party, I walked around the block. The route that I take is about a mile. The weather was so cool and the clouds were dark. It was awesome. I almost needed a jacket.
It reminded me so much of when I lived in CO. I was outside all the time. No matter the weather or the temperature... I was outside... daily. Only if it was a raging blizzard, did I stay in... It was the happiest I ever was in my entire life. I was 37... it was 1999 and the year 2000. I was in a relationship that was good and then had it's rocky side. I eventually left CO, but never have adjusted to being back. ... in a weird way.... I do love the sunshine here.. but not the ugly flatness. I do nt liek shoveling snow. but I never did when I lived in the mountains. It was always done before I left for work. Seriously. The cabin I lived in had a snowplow that would come by and plow before work.
There's something invigorating about being outside when it is cold...and being in boots or snowshoes. I love walking the dogs in the snow. But Paco is so blind now, i don't know if he could. He loved the snow. ...
My walk tonight brought all those memories back. I love walking in nature. There's a freshness and renewing about it. And walking alone. It clears my thoughts and my soul.
I miss the mountains. We are going on the 13th ... back to the CO town that I lived in in 2000. Georgetown. We have a 2 night stay there. I am very very excited. I want to walk and take my time relaxing there in the little mtn town. I would really like to live there again.... u never know what the future holds...
or what's around the corner.
