eye problem?!

Went to er last night, the eye I had surgery on in March seems like it is trying to lose vision again; totally different scenario than last time, but scary as hell anyway.  While in er the doc came around the curtain and said the ophthalmologist was in the next building just finishing up with a patient and to go right over and see her.  She did an exam and said she didn't see any swelling or blood behind the eye but she would make an appt for next week to come in for the more interesting tests.  She thinks it may be the cataract that the surgeon predicted I would need surgery for in 6 months: damn, talk about precision, surgery in Mar and this the first of Sept!!!she thinks it has been forming and is just now coming into my line of vision.  So another surgery may be looming, not real excited about it.  Hey at least I won't have to lay face down 20 hrs a day for a week, at least I don't think so.  I'll update when I know more.

I\'m sorry to hear that Trish - that sucks, to be blunt. : (

Ditto. So sorry. So scary. I am close to your age (68) and just made an apt. with a retina specialty group in a nearby city. Having some very funky peripheral vision on one side which Internet says maybe macular degeneration. I was told years ago that i had the beginnings of M.D., so...I join you in being SCARED. I live alone and my car is my LIFELINE! If my vision goes I am dead in the woods. Way too young for assisted living.

my Mom had her cataracts done about a year ago, wasn\'t really too bad, no face first stuff, she just had to take it easy a few days (which she has become a pro at since she retired...lol) it will be fine you will see :D

Well mttazzie this one was an eye stroke! Nothing to be done about it, Irish luck. Some of the cloudiness is dissipating and I go back Oct 11th to continue checking the progress of it out. Are we having fun yet? Hey at least it wasn\'t the cataract. Trish

California. So far no Sjogrens diagnosis, but doc did prescribe Restasis. I haven\'t gotten the stuff yet, hoping it helps. I have horribly dry eyes. Where are you? Trish
