Explaining Myself

Hi Friends,
Thank you so much for all your encouragement, advice and warm wishes.  I apologize for being so negative lately and I want to explain what is going on with me.
My mom has been in the hospital for the last three months (with the occassional week at home here and there).  She has had major back surgery, blood clots, excruciating back spasms, 5 trips to the emergency room, another broken vertebre, diverticulitis with an abscess the size of an orange, panic attacks, depression, 2 rounds of physical and occupational therapy and needs constant assistance while she heals.  I will also need to be administering 5 IV's of antibiotics to her for the next few weeks after she us released from the hospital again.
I am just very physically and mentally exhausted.  I have spent a part of virtually every day with her for the last three months, either visiting her in the hospital or caring for her at my sister's house.   I'm doing this all while working full time and trying to work through my own personal N induced depression and anxiety.
Thanks so much for all of the love lately, especially since I've been so cranky and weepy.   But, I think my pity party has stretched out a long enough and I am ready for some positive energy again.
I vow right now to return to my normally more upbeat smiley pink ice cream cone state of mind.   *fist pump*
(((Hugs))) to all my friends,
Harmony

There is absolutely no need to apologize Harmony. You\'ve got to be so drained and if you\'re not feeling great then you do need to vent it, whine about it, that\'s why we\'re here. Please take care of yourself.

Wow, that is A LOT. I had to have major surgery after years of divi attacks and I now how incredibly painful that is, and she has so many other issues.

There is a really good book called: When the Body says No. Sounds like she has a had a lifetime of struggle and now it is all showing up in her body.

You have a lot going on, don\'t forget to take care of yourself.

I will be praying for both of you. My daughter\'s f-i-l just got diagnosed with diverticulous, after admittance to the ER. My husband was in intensive care for 8 days 2 years ago, and I thought it was the hardest thing I have ever been through. You are a strong person.
