Exly Trickle Down
With the PTSD forum off my Newsfeed for now, I feel a bit freer to sort and process the psychopations I have been experiencing over the STBX trickle down. To my current senses, ^it^ is mostly a feminine phenom and easily avoided in my world. Men and non-traditional women don't take on the victim role easily and spotting a group of women bashing their exes is as easy as spotting evangelists working a street corner. Avoidance was easy enough before my youngest son and GKs got caught in the waltz. Even there, I am mostly seeing the trickle-down effects. The poor, abused mother in this equation is still a closed door to me. I just the monster-in-law. The ex-talk in the PTSD forum has been rushing to fill the information void of what *might* be the logic/dialog behind the closed door. Is she the only innocent victim in this equation? It sure feels like it under the influence of this particular transferrence. The rest of us get profiled as abusers. Yes, the rest of us talk about ^it^, but it is a much quieter conversation.
Yup. I definitely need the internet ex-wives' talk off my newsfeed. Whatever the similarities, the mother of my grandchildren will be easier to understand if I keep it strictly personal. She is not any of the ex-hopping women on the internet. At least, that's my prayer and I'm sticking to it for now.
Sorting. . .

I’m glad you have done what is right for your, protecting yourself from potential triggers as needed. I find it a very courageous and inspiring example that I can learn a lot from in learning to do what I must when necessary, such as my occasional absences due to trigger happy brain.
Hug! And I’m glad you are caring for yourself and setting boundaries.
I'm not in the circumstances of having been abused by a man physically as written in ptsd forum...just I'm glad you are taking steps to do what is right for you now...oxygen mask Arfie~~~please continue on that road as you chew ((Hugs))) and Chicken Soup through the Universe
I don't believe boundaries are the ticket for this one. Our divorcee sisters-in-healing, too, need the space and safety to process freely. My triggering off their pain is not their issue. Nor can I expect them to care about a Toxic Monster-in-law perspective. Time to lean on my reasons for maintaining a peer support NETWORK rather than a single node. I have other places I can look for support.
I am forever looking for ways to tend the self-protection aspect in the spirit of healing hopes for all. No exceptions. Even the Toxic MIL.
