Excited... but still scared
Hi Everyone! I was at the Dr's from 11:30am- 1:45pm!!!! The appointment(more like the waiting) took FOREVER!!! My Dr's said she was overbooked!DH was not a happy camper. Well, good news is there is a little fetus with a little heartbeat!Frustrating part is that he/she is measuring at 6 weeks 6 days. According to most due date calculators I am 7 weeks 3 days. So I am not sure what to think about that. Dr. told me not to worry AT ALL! But of course, how can I not!!!I have been going over and over in my head trying to rationalize it, and I did find one due date calculator that had me enter: the date of my last period (spotting 8/12 AF 8/13), the usual length of my cycles( WHICH IS 30-31 DAYS), and it came up with 6 weeks 6 days, BUT it puts me at having ovulated on 8/31, which is 96 hours after my positive OPK!?!?!? Isnt that odd, could these tests be lying?! It makes me wonder how accurate OPK's really are now...So the appointment left me feeling excited, yet still worried and very confused. I am trying to be excited but sheesh it is so hard this time not to think something is wrong! By this time last in my first pregnancy I had already started a journal and bought a belly band ect...I have not done anything for this little one:( I HAVE to start a journal TODAY! I need to let this little one know that he/she needs to hang in there. if any of you have any thoughts or know facts on due date calculators ect...it would be greatly appreciated!

Yay! It\'s good you saw your little one with the heartbeat. My doctor told me the ultrasound can be 4-5 days off so as long as the baby is growing everything will be ok. My son was a week behind when I had my first ultrasound and he is one healthy little boy now. Also he ended up coming 2 weeks early. I am so happy for you!

I was also told the same thing about size being off. I went in at 7 weeks and he was about 5 days off. Then at 8 week he was only 2 days off. By the time I got to my 19 week u/s where he got measured, the little man was right on track. I noticed that the angle/pressure of the u/s gadget can make a big difference too. Don\'t fret...little lovingsbobo is perfect!

glad there was a heartbeat! and i\'ve heard a lot about the babies not measuring quite correctly, but i\'m sure its nothing to worry about! :) if it really bothers you though, push them about it. call back and ask for an explanation. i\'m sure they want to do anything they can to reduce your stress! thinking of you and bean! :)

Yay for a heart beat!!! I\'m confused about my due date too. Because I know I ovulated on sept 11(because of u/s for iui) so I am farther along than the caculators give.
Awwwww yahhhh so excited for you hun, a couple days behind is nothing to stress about, glad that you seen baby and heard the heartbeat that is music to the ears, your baby will catch up in no times :) you and your miracle are in my thoughts and prayers
