Excepting.....

Having MG has made me realize that my time is important. I was a person who was always was there for everyone...but I haven't seen this with me and my family for two and a half years. We have four children 13, 11, 7 and 2. I was diagonased with MG while I was expecting. Little Elizabeth was in the hosptial for two months. I cryed every single day. I was so weak that I couldn't hold my newborn. I can't write anymore right now. It hurts too much.

I was diagnosed 6 weeks before I was married. That was 31 years ago. I have had three children, having symptons of MG. I remember those times I would cry because I couldn\'t lift my children, or carry them up or down stairs. I tell you, I had to invent ways to do things, so I could cope. My children are 28, 21 and 19. They don\'t know me any other way, except as a Mom with Myasthenia Gravis. It is rough, but I tell you it\'s worth it. I feel better now. But that wasn\'t until I was on Imuran, then cellcept, for a number of years. If i remember what normal was like, I might be close to being physically normal, but still on medicine, and have my days and sometimes weeks that I am very weak, But so much better than 31 years ago. Do you have a Doctor. There is a doctor in Rochester, Dr. Tawil, who specializes in MG. I\'ve been going to him for 17 years. Hope you are doing okay.
