everything will be okay
bruce jenner came out as a transgender this past friday 04/24/15. he claims that he has felt like a woman or identifies as a woman all his life. he is tired of living a lie. he has lived a lie b/c of what the public/society may think of him. coming out on national tv was brave. there are a lot of people who will not understand bruce's feelings and some may think he is crazy. no matter what he decided to tell lol his truth. i do hope his family really support him.
i felt like i was molested all over again after i told my family i was molested by my uncle. i found very little support - i think b/c none of my family members never had to deal with it before. i felt left on my own. my mother wasn't supportive at all. it shocked me. i think she turned against me b/c she twisted my story into saying that she wasn't a good parent. i wish i had never told my mother nor my family. it added more stress for me.
I think everything that went on during that period, 6 to 8 years old, the threats, lies, and manipulation caused a lot of stress - pays. I felt like my uncle took my voice away from me. It did not matter if I cried or said no my uncle still forced sex on me. My other uncle, who is gay, watched and never stopped his brother. Boundaries were crossed and I've always had trouble telling people no as a result. There were bad habits from the abuse that I was taught. I never had any interest in having sex with minors. The child abuse made me feel worthless. I never felt like I fit in with kids growing up. I didn't want be touched.
Like Bruce I didn't feel good about myself or in my skin. I never felt like a woman inside or have a brain like a women as Bruce has described. I may have identified with woman-ways in the sense of wanting to be desired. I wonder if Bruce really feels like a woman inside? What does that feel like? How would a man know? When I was a child after the molestation I dressed in my mother's boots and a dress once or twice. I remember thinking someone will want me.
Fast-tracking to today, two years ago again I dressed in some woman clothes, but again I thought about being wanted/desired.
I'm attracted to woman, but I don't feel confident that they will want me. The molestation made me passive. I'm attracted to aggressive guys when it comes to the thought of sex. Any other time I'm not attracted to guys.
The frustration of not having control of my life and me once wanting to end my life. I asked God for help and He removed from that situation - He told me to go home and go to sleep. I did. I woke up the next day and called the suicide help line and they directed to a place. I met a therapist that helped me back on my path. God bless him!
I wonder if something bothered/disturbed Bruce as a child. God does have a sense of humor, but would he put a woman in a man's body or vice versa? I'm not calling Bruce crazy. I'm not sure if you are born gay or transgender. I think more towards something might have went wrong in the childhood stage of life.
