Everything seems fine but is it....?
I just got back from a short trip to a very warm, fun place. Several people have asked about my trip. Some friends have wanted details and asked a lot of questions. It's strange....my W has asked very little about my trip. Maybe because we spoke while I was gone but there wasn't a lot said. She was busy with work and few things at home so maybe no time....or is it no interest? Two friends have taken the time to call and ask about my trip. One asked a lot of questions and laughed at some of the fun things I did while I was gone. She was genuinely interested and wanted to know. While talking to her I realized my W was the least interested of anyone. Even TOTGTM asked and we barely text anymore.
As I write this I just got another call asking about my trip.......
Is that why I seek the attention of others.....? Has my relationship with my wife gotten to the point where she/we have lost interest? When we spend time together we are great, surprisingly. Even so her disinterest seems to be more telling and is bothering me today.

This came up on a show I watch last night. When either person stops trying, the marriage is in trouble.
Maybe tell her you would like her interest/attention?
I don't think we've gotten to a point where she's stopped trying. We don't have a lot of problems. I don't rhink.
Maybe I'm in denial......and this is why I have been open to the interest of other women.
You know it's funny.....I was just thinking of something similar.
I'm going for this job. It's been a month long intense interview process for a promotion. I've actually had the position before but chose to leave it. I've been with my company for 25+ years & am very successful. . I am up against one person who has been at the company for 6 years but just recently got an advanced degree & needs this position as a stepping stone. She is also 28 and very popular (but also immature). My stress level is through the roof. I probably haven't had this much anxiety in a long time.
The guy I talk to has encouraged me, talked to me, asked me about interviews, told me he'd pray for me, ask me if I heard anything and talked me through my anxiety a few times. My HUSBAND on the other had hasn't mentioned it and when I do talk to him he says,'it's just wait and see there is nothing more you can do'
Sorry for this long rant on your journal but my point is......THIS is why marriages hurt.
Just FYI..... I fully intend to tell him how hurt I am over dinner tonight. I'm learning when these situations arise we have to nip them in the bud. Maybe she doesn't know how she is making you feel. My husband will know in about 4 hours ;)
Lol ..... WOW did I just vent on your JE! Sorry about that!!!
:) I appreciate the input. Good luck tonight.
Feeling ignored in a marriage is a death sentence. It definitely played a role in my affair. We have been working on that.
I don't necessarily feel ignored, but it does seem like she cares a lot less.
