Everything is different
So, I've been off this website for over a year, maybe almost 2. I lost my password, once in a while I'd request a new one but because it doesn't come titled under daily strength anymore and it landed in my spam box, I couldn't figure out why I wasn't getting any password resets lol
So I haven't gone back to drinking. My bf and I worked out our problems. Mostly it was old resentments, childish tendencies and my fervent need to be a mother. That need was being ignored for a decade (partially because of my boyfriend's unreadiness and later my drinking which had begun as a coping means to cover my wishes/feelings and deal with horrible inlaw problems)
The best news is after I quit coping by drinking (epic fail) we worked through our issues and we were ttc when I was last on here. I had one chemical pregnancy in May 2016, and then in Nov we concieved.
Last year and this year are truly the happiest years of my life. I absolutely loved being pregnant and having our daughter is the best feeling ever! It really has fulfilled me. I'm so glad we got over our crap so we could have her.
Her father is such a loving dad. She's already daddy's girl. We make a great team again, like we did in the early years of our relationship, but even better now because we've grown and bettered our behaviors
Life is not always going to be "kittens and rainbows" as my neice says, but it's great and we cope better.
I still have mild anxiety but my coping skills are healthy and we no longer enable the in law. She was a big catalyst for most of our problems, and we had to learn to see her at family functions but to stand united as a team and keep her at a distance because her behaviors are unhealthy and unfair.
I'm sad to see Citychic is gone. She was my yoga friend. I hope she is doing well. Looking forward to catching up with some of my old friends in here.
I'm starting this day typing this while my beautiful 7 month old snoozes beside me, enjoying the quiet before Its time to rise. Restraining myself from touching her hair or face, because they are so cute when they sleeo, but once she's up my day is go, go, go. I wouldn't have it any other way though ❤️
