Everyone!
Hey to all! I spent time with my stepmother today....took her lunch, gifts, flower, and a card. She never appreciates anything I do, never has, and nothing is ever good enough for her. But I have a clear conscience, knowing in my heart, I do my best.
I just wanted to share with all of my friends (and strangers who are not my friends yet) that I love and appreciate you all! You know, after my less than enjoyable visit with my stepmother today, I was in a store and the guy working there brightened my day....now let me share this with the hope of brightening yours:
He asked me how I was, I responded, "I have been better." This complete stranger smiled and said to me, "Man, it is what it is! If you have a problem you can fix, then fix it, if the problem cannot be fixed, why worry about it?"
These words inspired me so greatly, I plan to anonymously call his manager tomorrow and suggest they give him a raise and hire more like him!

Fabulous to hear! It seems that no matter what I do for my boyfriends mother whom I live with she is never happy about. I cook, clean, do yard work and bought her a fabulous Mother\'s Day present.. And I still feel no in the family loop. One day, when my boyfriend and I move out, I\'m sure she will appreciate all I do when she realizes I was the one cleaning the kitchen every day before she got home from work and taking care of the animals. That store employee was right. For now, I will just stay out of her way and continue to job hunt and contribute to the house. It\'s all I can do. And it seems you\'re a great step child and do all you can do. Just keep a smile!
P.S we can be friends! I\'m in need of some :)
