Every step forward
Guess the old saying for every step forward it is two steps back applies. Some days I feel like I am making progress towards acceptance then I am overwhelmed with the feelings of this cannot be real and Jon will be calling any minute now to tell me it has all been a joke. I miss him so much. I want my do over

This journey is one big, unpredictable roller coaster. All I can say is that eventually the lows aren\'t as low. I don\'t think any of us can really understand how this could be. As for acceptance, I don\'t know that I will ever accept but I can now live with the reality of life without Lisa. After 2 and a half years, I can enjoy life (although there is always an element of sadness that Lisa can\'t be here to enjoy it with me) and I can laugh again - I still cry but some joy has returned. I will never be the person I was before but I am starting to recognize a bit of the old me.
Please know that we are here with you.
Love and hugs,
Marlene
It wasn\'t until 11 months had passed that I had a day that I didn\'t cry. Since then I have had more, but the days that I cry are still a lot more than the days that I don\'t, it\'s been 13 months now. But when I cry it is shorter. At times I feel peaceful. Every body is different, and whatever you are feeling is what is right for you. It\'s only been 5 months for you. You heart needs time to heal. We will always miss our sons and daughters that are gone and there will always be tears at times when our minds stray to wanting to share life with them, or remembering a time when we did share life. I\'ve learned to expect this and I\'m never without tissues. Terry
I think I will always have 1 step foreward and 2 back..always..(((((hugs))))))
A rollercoaster is the best saying for this journey. I hate rollercoasters. Ups and downs twists and turns. Crying for no reason is part of my life now. tucking my grief in my pocket at work at times is very difficult. Still backwards steps are more common then going forwards, We all striggle to step foward. Here we have helping hands and lots of encouraging hugs.

I want my do over too... Understanding those feelings right alongside of you. Tender care this day and in the ones ahead. Hugs, Joanie
