Ever get there?
Ever get to the point of despair and look back and see that there was good? I am at the point now of looking past that despair and finding the good in things again. Journaling and posting a blog really helped me look back at what I had and how good it felt. I was in a world of hurt....caused by myself. I made some really bad things happen. I looked away for just a moment and fell. Someone said that it takes only an instant a small misstep to stumble and fall. You could hook your toe on a step or curb and fall. Sometimes the fall is minor, other times your in a world of hurt. I was hurt by that simple little step of looking away from that what was good. BUT I am back! I am back to working on my problems instead of moaning and groaning how bad things are. My parents have the idea that if you ignore it long enough it will go away..no need for a bandaid. In my life I've learned and know that ignoring or doing nothing breeds nothing. One of my favorite sayings is "the hardest part of doing nothing is knowing when to stop". I am not the type of man that likes to stay stopped. I know that action is what heals. Most self help groups have steps to take, that's because the elevator is broken. The steps go both ways up and down. I've walked those steps both ways many times. I am grateful to be alive. I am grateful I still have a mind and body that can support my life. I will live my life to fullest possible. I must, I have alot of steps to take..."a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step".
Today is a new beginning. I've told people that they can start their lives over at any time.. I am taking my own advice this day!
Peace,
