Essaying

Short update!
First of all I want to thank everyone for their support and messages! They help me a lot and I feel bad for not always being able to return this attention. The talk with my committee went very well, it was very relaxed and spontaneous. They had been oblivious to my condition before but they were understanding and discreet about it. It made me feel kind of silly for not doing this sooner.
Then I had to start on my final essays. The first deadline was for 3 minor, separate ones. Everything went well and I nearly camped the library until I got sick 2 days before the deadline. BAD TIMING. I still made it somehow and I'm actually quite satisfied with how they turned out. Which is kind of an achievement in itself considering my standards. Though my mysterious illness (killer headache behind the eye, nauseous, vomiting, no fever) apparently seems a lot like migraine. Yeah. Let's hope that doesn't set through. Not really something I'd want to experience again right before a deadline.
Tomorrow is my second and last deadline. This time for a single essay of about 2500 words. I got started later than I had planned because of that sudden sickness. Luckily the beginning went pretty well since I had already made a plan for the structure. But the past few days I got scared and insecure. Even though I knew I am able to do it and I have all the knowledge I need in my head, the thought of producing enough words to reach the count scared me. I knew I was capable, I just was afraid that it wouldn't come out. Which ironically made that really nothing came out. Deer caught in headlights. It's been so long since I've been able to come along in university, it's nearly a foreign experience. I've become insecure 'caus it's so long ago that I actually achieved something black on white.
Thank God, even though my start was a bit rough and slow, I managed to pull myself together today. I wrote over a 1000 words and reached the magic 2500 mark. I didn't think I could do that in just one day, so I'm quite pleased. Tomorrow I have to just add the conclusion and look over the spelling, add the list of books I used, that sort of thing. The thing is that I really like writing and I also really like the topic my essay is on. I'm having a lot of fun figuring it out and writing something good about it. That's why I'm sad that I still get scared and I hope I can just hold on to this fun, excited feeling and write a killer conclusion tomorrow.
And yes, this is a short update in my book!

Hey I\'m glad you\'re feeling pleased with things, and now your committee can try to lessen the work load on you. I always got marked down in my writing classes because I wrote too many words or my speeches were too long. It helps to be interested in the topic. Maybe your mysterious illness is side effects from the medication. Remember your value and worth as a person is not defined by your accomplishments or any other external things. Love to ya. lightbright.
