Erica is on the mend!!
Erica had to have her ovary removed. Her ovary was twisted so bad it was cutting off her blood supply it was black which was old blood meaning it was dead. Thank God they got it when the did it could of ruptured and caused all that black blood to go through all her organs. She was a lucky girl! I'm still worried a little, I can't believe after the surgery she had 2 hours in the recovery room then was released to go home. They had to give her Nitrous in her IV, I guess just so her blood vessels were getting enough blood without clotting, I think?????? She didn't know, that was my guess.. The doctor told Chris her shoulders will probably be a little painful from it..This is why I was such a wreck, I was miles away and I had no control, I wanted to be there for her. I would of hopped on a plane but Chris her husband takes great care of her and has a Doctors note for him to stay home for a couple weeks to take care of her. I may have to go to NJ anyway, her doctor had giving her orders not to go back to work for 4 to 6 weeks..Before this she gave her notice at work to be done at the end of September. Chris and Erica are coming home with me for a couple of months until they send them off to his next destination in the National Guard for further training, to the higher up pilot license, as he already has his single engine airplane license.. They will be sending them to either Oklahoma or Mississippi, yuk! I don't want them living there. Its only for 2 years then they will be moving back here in NH. His national guard will be here in Portsmouth NH at Pease AFB, where he has to go once a month..Their plane is to live between Portsmouth NH and Boston Ma, so they will be close by to his parents and me. His main Job is a Air Craft Controller. All I can do is Pray in hopes for the best for them..So that's the scoop for now, if I miss something I'll keep you posted.. Glad Erica\'s on the mend (with a great husband and devoted Mom!) and will keep Erica in my prayers...
Exhaling here in GA! Glad it\'s over and Erica is on the mend. I\'m sure it will take a while, but sounds like she\'s got a great helper in that handsome hubby of hers.

One good thing about Erica and Chris moving away is that he is a pilot and they can come visit frequently. Sounds like the two of them have good heads on their shoulders and love each other dearly. What a blessing to have your child happy in her marriage.

I love you Kelly and sorry all this has happened! I pray for a speedy recovery for our Erica. I had a similar problem many years ago, in fact, a year before Jason was conceived. They had to do major surgery back then and took 1/2 of one ovary and 1/8 of the other. It was called a wedge resection and I was in the hospital for 7 days...And it was all over ovarian cysts. Years later, I had to have surgery again, but that time they went through my belly button and I went home the same day. Say hi to Erica for me and tell her that I am thinking of all of you! I am so happy she has a strong supportive hubby. And Mom!

Obviously had an angel on her side...so glad that she ins in the clear...I know that you will be glad to have her close soon.
Oklahoma and Mississippi are not that far...it is good for them to live different places, then when they come home, they appreciate it more...

I am so glad Erica is doing well.What a relief that they got it in time. I so understand the helplessness being so far away. Mamas want to be there to make sure everything is alright and make it better - and they do. Wishing her a quick and complete recovery.

Thank you moms for your support, when our children are in pain, emotional pain feel affects us moms. When I wake up in the morning I instantly think of her, and what is going through her thoughts...Her 22 birthday is today and she said this is her worst birthday.. I told her to be grateful it could of been worst. Plus she just got home from Vegas a week ago, I thought that was her birthday present..Thank God it didn\'t happen in Vegas..I worry about her having troubles getting pregnant..
