Epiphanies again.
An epiphany that I had awhile back was about how her insecurities and need for approval may have been what lead her to her affair. Although she still puts the blame on me for making her do it.
She has always been a very jealous person and I thought it was because of her insecurities, but I think part of it was her internal guilt with quite a few inappropriate relationships that she carried through the years.
She constantly was mad at me when we were out because she said other women were always looking at me and smiling. Now I neither noticed them doing this or did anything wrong. Never smiled or stared at other women.
Now that I have made my decsion to end the marriage I have noticed that women do smile at me and it makes me feel uncomfortable and guilty. I have caught myself looking at their hand instantly and at least half of them have on a wedding ring which really upsets me.
I have a long way to go to heal myself.
