ENOUGH NOW
I am so glad the month of November is over, the deaths better be too for awhile. Last early evening my best friend for over 20 years died. Damn covid!!! Tom and I were best friends, more like brother and sister, from 7th grade until my ex screwed him over when he tried to help us by giving him a job. I do not know all that happened but I DO know the dumb ass was drinking on the job. There was more but I was never told what and I lost my best friend until earlier this year when he joined Facebook. We were reacquainting with each other. His dad died on November 18th, his older brother was in the hospital with covid and Tom went in on the Friday after his dad died. The hospital was so full that he was kept in the er for 3 days before getting into ICU. 4 days ago they had to put him on the ventilator so also into a coma. His kidneys started failing and they tried finding a room in one of the numerous big hospitals in the cities so he could get dialysis. No luck, there was not a single room in the cities available. He passed at 5 yesterday afternoon, the same time I was saying goodbye to my Pastor who had come to visit me and give me communion. We even prayed for Tom. I found his brother's post within a post Dave had posted about his dads death saying " I have sad news Tom died at 5pm". I wanted to scream but living here I couldn't because it was 11pm. I called Dave's wife Linda and said it isn't true right? She just yes it is, I cried no no no no no he can't be gone. Tom's wife also had covid when he went into the hospital and I am not sure how she is now other than devastated. The entire family is except Mom as she has dementia and does not understand that her husband is dead, she thinks he is fishing at their old lake home.
For me deaths have always come in 3's. Well I had already known of 3 I lost within a week before Tom. So I started feeling extremely anxious last night. I went to the popular funeral home website and started looking through the obits. Well I found 2 more friends that had passed in November, 1 in the beginning of the month and the other just this past weekend. So I now have lost 6 friends all either to cancer or covid in 1 months time. So like the title of this post says
ENOUGH NOW!!!!!!
