yesturday I call the morgage to tell them my payment will be late, and found out my x was just sent a copy of the modify on my house...because her name is on the loan. What the hell..she has no bussiness doing this..and why ..to piss me off. She is very methodical. She did this on the date of last year when crisis was here trying to calm her down.. I am tired , after all this brutality of all the events and emotions. I just want to be left alone! I am broke, cold, tired, spent on this crap. I dont think she will ever give up!

If her name is on the loan the mortgage company will automatically send her a copy of some of the things pertaining to the mortgage.
IF you were awarded the house then you need to try to get her off the mortgage. I\'m still trying to get financing to get the ex\'s name off this farm. He\'s primary and I can\'t even get the mortgage interest statement at the end of the year and I\'m the one paying the mortgage.
Yup Trisha\'s right - get her name off the mortgage. If you don\'t she\'s entitled access to the statements. If you just had a modif, why didn\'t you have them remove her?
A modify might now take her off the mortgage. You are modifying the original mortgage that has her name on it. But how did you do a modify without her signature? A quit claim will take her off the deed but not the mortgage. You may have to refinance to get her off the note. If somehow she is not on the mortgage now it could have just been a bank error that they sent info to her. Call your mortgage company and politely ask how to keep her from getting info you don\'t want her to have.
I\'m having the same problem with the ex and will have to refinance to get him totally off any financing and get this farm in my name only. Because of the wording we had in my settlement agreement to protect me I now have to go back to court and change it before the mortgage company will give me a loan.
When I refinanced my house, we had the X sign a quit claim deed making the house solely mine. Your attorney should be following through on getting that all taken care of.
the judge ha her sign a quick claim deed with in seven days of reciept of the order, she did, and signed her maiden name and screwed it up for another 7 days. finialy the modify went through in my name (only) I talked to GMAC today and asked why they sent it to her...now here it is and I think the oldest son is posing as me, ss# and all info, my name is on it but the address is his (changed again) I toold GMAC to check their records on how many times that has taken place...(6) . they gave me the tracking number to fed x, I had them hold it and that I would go down to get it. I was told ID would have to be shown to get the packet.. The mod is done ..in my name not hers.
GMAC has now as of 4pm removed her from the responsibility of the loan, so now she cant do anything! I can breath for a little while. I saw her driving by the house last night and several of her friend today...its getting more and more. I am thinking of going to the police and let them know my concerns.. let me know what you think of that. there is a protective order in place already.
Go to the police. You need a police record of this in case it escalates. If you don\'t report it that will encourage them to continue. Don\'t let them upset you. you know this will continue on some level so just handle it. I\'ve come to expect problems from the ex and I take care of it without anger and getting upset.
Ask the mortgage company about pass word protecting your acct. That way no one will know the password and can\'t change addresses.
I have mine pass word protected but the reps don\'t always read the directions. The mortgage interest statement is to come to me because they are honoring the settlement agreement but I\'ve yet to get the statment at the end of the year. I think I finally got that taken care of and the next time they don\'t ask for my password I will remind them.
I agree with trisha about going to the police - what the wife and oldest son did is fraud and if they did it once, they could definitely do it again worse. Protect yourself.
I would definitely call the cops and report it. Also, if they\'ve got your SS# - I\'d get some kind of alert program so you can see if they are opening up accounts in your name. Protect your ID...
Using another person\'s SS number is A FELONY OFFENSE. Please call the police on this IMMEDIATELY.
