endolymphatic shunt

My doctor wants to put an endolymphatic shunt in my left ear.  After trying a low salt diet, cortizone injection and antivert he wants to do this procedure cause i still get dizzy spells.  I'm leary to have it done because there is only a 70 percent chance that it will help.Has anyone had the procedure, and if so, did it help?

i had grommets put in my ear it helped abit but i am not sure if it is the same thing as your getting. i am going to get it done again in 2 weeks. the serc16 helped as well it gets rid of the mild dizzy attacks but unfortunately the huge dizzy attacks ( the ones where you hold on to something) hasn\'t changed with this medication but then some relief is better than none

Thanks. I think the shunt is a little different than the grommets. My doctor hasn\'t even mentioned the grommets!
