End of Yesterday Exciting Day

Huuby couldn't walk....can't step down on his foot with severe pain...so me I am going to help.....................got him a wood rod from the garage...made him look like a Shepard....without the sheep.....so I go out to find something else..........I find this great shorter wood think that has large enough peg holes go put your finger in to hold on to...and at least it did not tower over his head...pretty and green too....
So it works pretty good except it has a square top..not to comfortable, I decide to cut open one of Abby's tennis balls to put on top....good idea.  right...could of have been...
I am getting the tennis ball ready as Abby is chasing me for it...I win take it to the kitchen to fix it to fit....
Next words out of my mouth is OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I SLICED THE END OF MY FINGER OFF...................ALMOST...GOT ENOUGH SKIN LEFT TO GET IT TO WRAP AROUND AND THEN HOLD IT CLOSED FOR ABOUT 2 HOURS....
FINALLY THE BLOOD HAS STOPPED ENOUGH TO WRAP...SO GOT IT WRAPPED MAYBE A BIT TOO TIGHT...DECIDE TO CUT THE END FINGER OF A PLASTIC GLOVE THAT WE THE HOSPITAL SHARED WITH US....(that means me putting some in my purse)...
It's a nice blue one....went to bed...finger aching...so we joined each other in bed
he moaning on his side of the bed and me moaning on my side of the bed...off to sleep.............
as Abby was smart enough to stay away from both of us....she has no pain..YEA
Now we need a housekeeper for a while.....any offers...didn't think so...
Love to you all too...Sandi

I am so sorry! You and your husband are having a crappy week. Are you sure you didn\'t need stitches?
I would come and be your housekeeper but it is too far away, and, oh yes, I am a lousy housekeeper!
Take care of yourself!

This story would be hilarious, if it wasn\'t so tragic and painful. Feel better soon, both of you--and stay away from dangerous stuff! (easier said than done) Take care, Margery Ann

Oh my goodness Sandi! I think it\'s time for a bit less excitement in your life! Please make sure that you and your hubby are careful when you\'re poking around tools, ladders, and sharp objects!

Thinking of you with tenderness and love.

Peace, blessings and much love to you, your hubby and Ken ~ Debbie

Ouch! Sandi, my husband likes to say sometimes at appropriate moments...\"No good deed goes unpunished!\" and what happened to you certainly seems to fit that saying he quotes.
Hope it heals soon; cuts on the fingers are so darn aggravating! Hope your hubby improves soon, too! And Abby forgives you for cutting up a perfectly good tennis ball! :-)

Oh, Sandi I can hardly believe all of this. I hope you both feel better. I\'ll dust the TV for you, that\'s about all the housework I get done at my house. Hey---at least I offered! Leda

You sure you don\'t need stitches? I\'m concerned. Go to an Urgent Care or something, they can handle it.

AND BE CAREFUL!

I agree, are you sure you don\'t need stitches or did the cut take off the end so there is nothing to stitch (I did that one time), it just had to heal over (it did).. Hope you are feeling better and I agre with Dale, stay away from sharp things for awhile.

The first thing that came to mind was: if it weren\'t for bad luck you wouldnt have any luck at all.
Hope you guys heal well !
