End of the day thoughts

The physical symptoms of arthritis weren't as compromising today as they were yesterday.  Any day that I can say that is a good day.  When I can use my hands to type without a lot of pain and can walk up stairs at the end of the night and not be limping that is a bonus.
Really working on letting to these days and knowing that I truly only have control over me and my choices.  Raising teenagers is hard work.  Raising one that is a young adult and SOOOO much smarter than me well that is hair pulling frustration.  No other way to describe it.  It is still my choice in how I respond to the frustration.  I am working on that and I admit that lately I haven't done it well.  There are days I don't even feel guilty about not doing it well.  There is something your young adult taking 18-19 years of love, caring, nurturing and sacrifice and throwing it right back in your face.  In fact being told that they are a victim of your bad parenting choices.  That was my favorite one.
The only guarantee in this world is that life will change.  How I respond to those changes is pretty important.  It determines how well it goes or how difficult it becomes.  I often wonder how stress has played a part in the development of the autoimmune issues.  I am sure it is a factor.
